Precruise Day #2

Off we went to the diner for breakfast…There is nothing like a NJ diner!!  Then it was on to LL Bean.  As usual, Charlie found stuff he wanted.  Since I don’t like to pay full price, I didn’t buy anything.

Delia made a teepee for the cats….I,m sure the girls will enjoy it…

Notice the small “cat” quilt.  The girls will not get that…..That’s MINE..

Dinner tonight is supposed to be “simple” steaks on the grill..but that doesn’t stop Delia……

Tomorrow we are getting picked up by Rapid Rover at 10:30AM to drive to the airport.  Rich and Delia are on a different flight and we will meet up at Heathrow to take a bus to Southampton.  Hopefully, the hurricane will not cause us any problems.

Precruise

We enjoyed our travel up thru Virginia.  The scenery is beautiful and makes us really look forward to our return trip that will take us along Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway.  We enjoyed our stay at the George Washington Hotel in Winchester…especially at the Priceline price of $56.00.

We arrived at Rich and Delia’s at around noon.  It was good to be here but wish the temperature was cooler.  Still in the 90s.  Rich still has some household chores to do…..he loaded the recycleables in the back of the Explorer and backed it out of the garage and “met” our 500!!!!!

Guess we have a repair job to take care of when we return home…

Delia slaved over the stove and we had a very nice Italian dinner..

Let the fun begin

I can’t believe that we will be leaving for Rich’s house in just 5 days.  We booked this cruise about 18 months ago…how time does fly!!

The “girls” seem to think that if they are quiet we won’t notice if they get in a suitcase. They told me they don’t think that us humans should have all the fun!!

One suitcase is already packed…..luckily it only weighs 44 lbs.  Tomorrow I will start on the other suitcase with all our formal wear.  We are really trying to cut down but it sure is hard.

Also, tomorrow, I need to start my house cleaning.  Like to come home to a clean house.

Got an email from Phyllis Hicks today that she was able to get us set up for the Chefs Table to celebrate both of our birthdays.  Sure helped that she is on the ship now.  We are really looking forward to the Chef’s Table…have heard such wonderful things about it.
