This was a good cruise. It was good to see friends we had met on previous cruises.
The Crown is a nice ship but we do prefer the Star. The food was good..the staff was excellent and the Chef’s Table was a wonderful experience. Our AFT balcony was a great place to be when cruising thru the Greenland Fjords but it was too cold to really enjoy the balcony most days. For some reason, the Crown felt much more crowded than the Star.
We were disappointed that we did not get to stop in Belfast or Iceland. We were really looking forward to those stops. We enjoyed Falmouth (especially the pub)…Dublin (especially Guinness) and St. John’s (especially the pub)……See a pattern here????? Could have done without Greenland but as least we can say we set foot on Greenland!!!
I don’t think we would attempt another northern crossing at this time of the year. It is just too “iffy”. Still want to visit Iceland. May try to do that as a stopover flying Iceland Air.
Coming home via Skyline Drive was beautiful…but I still prefer the Smokies.
Glad to be home…the “girls” were happy to see us and now we can start preparing for the Infinity and Antarctica.
